Visitation: Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Funeral: Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. from the Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
Luncheon: Colon American Legion following the burial.
Louise F. Clipfell age 84 of Colon passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
Louise was born March 4, 1934 in Leonidas, Twp. a daughter to the late Carl and Georgia (Fitzgerald) Drumhiller Sr.
Louise had lived in the Colon area all of her life and had attended Colon Schools.
On July 14, 1951 she married Philip G. Clipfell in Athens and he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2013.
Louise had worked at several local businesses in Colon, she was a member of the Colon Grange, life member of the Three Rivers Eagles and had been a member of the former Colon Eastern Star.
She loved to cook and was well known for her famous potato salad and enjoyed going to the Casino.
She is survived by seven children; Ty (Sharon) Clipfell of Colon, Tim Clipfell of Colon, Lorelei Blair of Nottawa, Katrina (Doren) Smith of Colon, Corby (Roberta) of Leonidas, Rowdy (Tammy) of Colon and Thad (Lovina) Clipfell of Colon,twenty-five grandchildren, fifty-nine great grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, and also a son in law James Goad of Colon.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Jody Clipfell, three grandchildren; Philip Clipfell, Samantha Proet and Betsy Clipfell, great great granddaughter Dolly Smith, and brother, Carl Junior Drumhiller, infant sister Ethel Drumhiller, half-sister, Mary Alice Harris, three half-brothers, Kenneth Brownell, Charles and Ralph Drumhiller.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. At the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. A funeral service celebrating the life of Louise F. Clipfell will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. from the funeral home with Rev. David J. Farrell officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon. If desired memorials may be made in memory of Louise to the Colon Grange. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
