Anna Mae Yoder age 85 of Colon, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at her home.
Anna Mae was born February 2,1934 in Shipshewana, IN a daughter to the late Jonas & Sylvia (Miller) Hostetler.
On June 4, 1955 she married Ralph L. Yoder in Sturgis and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2005.
She had lived at her present address the past 56 years, she had worked as a material cutter for the former Lamb Knit Goods in Colon, Denton Mills in Centreville and retired from Van Guard Industries in Colon.
Anna Mae was an active member of the New Beginnings Church of Sturgis. She enjoyed working at the Free Store in Centreville, quilting, crocheting, her flower gardens, but most of all spending time with her grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.
She is survived by four children; Sharon (Ed) Schwartz of Three Rivers, Richard Yoder of Colon, Marlene (Harley) Edwards of Union City, and Lou Ann Shook of Burr Oak, fourteen grandchildren, fifty one great grandchildren, sixteen great great grandchildren, sister, Elsie (Vernon) Miller of Homer, three brothers, Willis (Susie) Hostetler of Kentucky, Edward (Ann Marie) Hostetler and Vernon (Betty) Hostetler both of Shipshewana, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, one great grandson and brother Harley Hostetler.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the New Beginnings Church, 63022 M-66, Sturgis, MI 49091. Funeral services celebrating the life of Anna Mae Yoder will be Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Pastor Randy Evans officiating. A committal service and burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon. If desired memorials may be made to the family, envelopes will be available at the church and the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon.
