Memorial Service: A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 27,2021 at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. David J. Farrell officiating.

Ronald A. Carnell age 71 of Colon, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Ron was born on January 24, 1950, in Battle Creek, a son of the late Bud and Betty (Lowe) Carnell.

Ron grew up in Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. Eventually Ron would move to California. After a stint there he moved back to and stayed in Colon.

Ron was a self-taught magic enthusiast turned professional magician. He was also a published writer.

Ron is survived today by his three children: Robin Criffield and family of North Carolina, Rebecca Criffield-Coster and family of North Carolina, and Ryan Criffield and family of North Carolina, a sister Fawn (Mark) Dow of Bronson, a brother Lawrence Coody of Colon, 2 grandchildren several nieces and a nephew.

Besides his parents Ron was preceded in death by a sister Nancy DeBault.

Following in Ron’s wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
