Ruth M. Burmeister age 90 of Burr Oak passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at her home after a brief bout with brain cancer.

Ruth was born on January 23, 1932, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Edward and Mildred (Horton) Buhrow.

Ruth attended Oshkosh High School. She then married Harry L. Burmeister. He would precede her in death on November 20, 2017.

Surviving Ruth today are his children: Deborah (Martin) Haynes, Kathleen Variola, Jeffery Burmeister, and Jane (Roger) Dickman, sister Karen Kentopp, grandchildren: Gary (Maria), Melissa (Alan), Tony, Kylee (Jorge), Roger (Melissa), Matt (Amanda), Beth (Donnie), Dennis, Josh (Keara), and James (Analise), great grandchildren: Amanda, Jeremy, Justin, Alison, Amber, Geovanni, Emily, Jorge, Liliana, Jason, Klara, Abel, Cole, Riley, Roger, and Jace.

Besides her parents Edward and Mildred, ruth was preceded in death by her husband Harry Burmeister, daughter Jean Burmeister, siblings: Roy Buhrow, Roger Buhrow, Patricia Schultz, Dale Buhrow, Phyllis Vilwock, and David Buhrow, and grandson Jason Burmeister.

Following in her wish’s cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time.
