Wayne R. Bielski

Wayne R. Bielski age 70, of Colon, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Bronson Methodist Hospital.
Wayne was born on April 26, 1952, in Berwyn, Illinois, a son to the late Richard and Francis (Krizek) Bielski.
Wayne was graduate of Morton East High School with the class of 1970. Wayne later graduated from Purdue University Northwest with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
On October 25, 1975, Wayne married his wife of 47 years Carol A. Zima, at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church, in Berwyn, Illinois.
Wayne proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Wayne and Carol have had a lake home in Colon since 2006 and have been permanent residents since 2018. Wayne and Carol are also proud members of the St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Colon. Wayne was a member of the Colon American Legion Post 454. Wayne loved his family, especially his grandchildren, he loved flying, airplanes, woodworking and computers. He was talented in everything he did.
Wayne is survived today by his wife Carol A. (Zima) Bielski of Colon, 2 sons: Chris (Candice) Bielski of Homer Glenn, IL, and Jeff (Jenny) Bielski of Oak Forrest, IL, grandchildren: Ethan, Austin, Colin and Elizabeth Bielski, a sister Terry Koop and a niece Lin (Annie) Koop.
Besides his parents Richard and Francis Bielski, Wayne was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Don Koop.
Following in Wayne’s wish’s cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. I know he was the driving force in his family. Prayers for Carol and the family. I know he will be missed but also know that he was loved. Condolences to the family.
