Charles G. Broker
Visitation: Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Schipper Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 11 AM at the New Beginnings Church: 63022 M-66, Sturgis, MI 49091 with pastor Randy Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
Charles G. Broker age 68 of Colon, formerly of Cadillac, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at his home.
Charles was born on November 14, 1954, in Gary, Indiana, a son to the late Louis and Joyce (Emmel) Broker.
Charles graduated from Colon High School with the class of 1973.
Charles later in life moved to Cadillac, Michigan where he lived for 19 years. While there he worked as a machinist for the Big Foot Corp. until his retirement.
Surviving Charles today are his two daughters: Veronica (James Ducett) Broker of Colon, and Shelley (Shawn) Gingerich of White Pigeon, 7 grandchildren: Ashley Farr, Brandon (Lauren Mcilmurray) Broker, Andrew (Victoria) Gingerich, Aaron (Jada) Gingerich, Anessa (Colin Friel) Broker, Logan (Kayla Gest) Broker, and Alexander, (Brittany) Gingerich, 5 great grandchildren: Braylee, Dallys, Leiton, Jentrey, Jonas and 2 more on the way, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Besides his parents Louis and Joyce Broker, Charles was preceded in death by a stepbrother Hershel France.
The Broker family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, at the Schipper Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service celebrating the life of Charles will be held Thursday, February 16th, 2023, at 11 AM at the New Beginnings Church: 63022 M-66, Sturgis, MI 49091. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donations be made to the ASPCA or Shriners Children’s Hospital. So sorry to hear of Chucks passing. A classmate of 73 & childhood friend. Spent many hours playing with all the neighborhood kids back in the day. A great time of our lives & never to be forgotten. RIP Chuck!
