Jeffrey L. Bond

Jeffrey L. Bond age 81 of Sturgis, passed away at his home on Fish Lake, Monday, October 30, 2023.

Jeff was born on September 26, 1942, in Phoenix, Arizona, a son to the late Ted and Gwen (Willis) Bond. Jeff was a graduate of Mesa High School with the class of 1960.

Jeff worked in Tempe, Arizona as a fire fighter. After 15 years Jeff retired from the department. On December 17, 1990, Jeff married Diane M. Ickes in Pontiac, Michigan.

Surviving Jeff today is his wife Diane M. Bond of Sturgis, children: Tammi Cartier of Hazel Park, Michigan, J.T. (Hope) Cartier of Mendon, Michigan, Shari (Matthew) Hyde of Arizona, Duane (Tammy) Shope of Warsaw, Missouri, and Jeffrey Shope Jr., grandchildren: Destiny Roediger, Raymond Roediger, Carter Cartier, Braylen Cartier, and many more living in AZ., many great grandchildren, a sister: Karen Hathcock, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Ted and Gwen Bond, Jeff was preceded in death by his son: Brent John Bond and brother: Mark Bond.

Following in his wish’s cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced in the coming warmer months.
