Visitation: Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Funeral: Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Matteson Township Cemetery.
Rodney Welcome Hodge age 62 left this world peacefully and into the everlasting arms of Jesus, June 4, 2018 after a 3 year battle with Kidney Cancer.
Rodney was born March 7, 1956 to the late Herman and Beverly (Marsh) Hodge.
Rodney married the love of his life and best friend Dawn Watkins on June 13,1986 in Coldwater, and enjoyed 32 years of marriage together.
After graduating from Bronson High School with the Class of 1974 he worked for 3 years for Ralph Shafer, farming. In 1977 he began working for Western Rubber in Fremont, IN now known as WCT as a foreman and plant manager until his death. He had also owned and operated H. & R. Chain Saws, a chainsaw repair business, with his late father.
He is survived by his wife Dawn Hodge of Bronson, son Jody (Leslie) Hodge of Battle Creek, daughter, Tylene (Ron) Green of Wayland, 2 grandchildren, Alexis Hodge and Michael Green and step grandsons Hunter and Anthony, 2 sisters; Deborah (Gary) Yesh and Kathie (John) Macaulay both of Bronson, several nieces and nephews and his 3 dogs and 2 christian donkeys.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Rodney W. Hodge will be Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with nephew Rob Dearman officiating. Burial will follow in Matteson Township Cemetery.
